It's been a minute, my friends...

I recently made time to donate/witness in person the work that Tallahassee Food Not Bombs does for our community setting up a food share every Sunday at E Peck Green Park on Park behind the post office from 12-2pm. It was eye opening in every way possible, from the amount of people there that needed the support, to the group of people giving their heart and time to support the community in need.

They can always use help making this happen, whether it be donating some of the items listed in the pic, making food to bring on Sunday to serve, or donating funds/your time. Fresh fruit is always needed, bananas are a favorite. Even those old containers/sealable jars you're saving for no reason are great as to-go containers. The little hotel soaps/toiletries are perfect. As it was explained to me, anything you'd need if you were camping in the middle of nowhere without a thing.

There are still wonderful people supporting wonderful people in wonderful ways in this community! I plan to continue to support them even in the smallest ways and wanted to simply invite you to join me however you can, assuming you already don't and it's ok if you don't.

Always missing ya'll and wishing you well!

Today marks one year since we dropped the greatest restaurant closing announcement ever!

We don't re-post the video (that you should totally re-watch) to induce sad feelings, we do so to celebrate what an awesome nine years it was to share with you all!

"Thank you. I'm not as sorry. I love you"

We're happy to announce that we were able to donate just under $400 to the Railroad Square Tenant Go Fund Me at the Tallahassee Beer Society Charity Bottle Share last night by selling seasoning and t-shirts!

Thank you to all that attended and supported this cause that means so much to us!

The Charity Bottle Share at South Station is starting to go off! Railroad Square tenants selling their wares, beer tasting galore, and of course, Pete's Weiner Rub for sale, $12 cash only, all proceeds to the go fund me for railroad square tenants.

The weather is perfect, it might be the coolest night left to enjoy!

We can't wait to see so many of our friends from RRSQ with their pop-ups at tomorrow's bottle share and we can't wait to see everyone coming out to support the tenants of The Square!

We even decided to pop-up and put together over 40 Pete's Weiner Rub Seasoning jars that will be available to purchase tomorrow, with every cent going to the tenant go fund me. They are $12 each and we're going analog tomorrow...cash only. In fact, I encourage you to use cash as much as possible tomorrow when purchasing the wares of the RRSQ tenants.

You're probably out of seasoning by now or missed out last time, so why not re-up for a great cause! Help me sell out and add a nice chunk of money to the fund!

DATE: Saturday, May 18th
TIME: 4 pm until ... ?
LOCATION: South Station (1215 S. Adams St.)
HOW IT WORKS: Bring a beer(s) you wanna share. Drop a donation in the bucket for Railroad Square. Enjoy GREAT beers, complimentary BBQ and raffle prizes all night.

I haven't known what to say about those few minutes, the morning of May 10th, 2024. I'm sad for my friends and Railroad Square family. I'm sad for Tallahassee.

What I will say is that I please encourage you to donate to this wonderful go fund me that will go directly to the tenants of RRSQ. It was created by a trusted friend that will make sure that the money goes directly to the tenants.

I also encourage you to attend what I believe is going to be the charity bottle share of all bottle shares hosted by our friends from the Tallahassee Beer Society, Saturday at South Station (1215 S. Adams St.) starting at 4pm - until. All proceeds will go directly towards the go fund me above. I hope to see you there.

And that's all I have to say about that.

*I mean absolutely no disrespect to the current tenant of the caboose and the damage they have endured, by posting these comparison photos.

I don't get out as much as I like and I don't use this page as much as I used to, but tonight gives me reason for both. If you've never been to a bottle share (beer) and enjoy beer then first off you should change that, and when they are for a great cause...well then, it just makes sense. Our friends at Tallahassee Beer Society (follow, if you don't already) pretty much invented bottle shares for Tallahassee and when they do them, they are always for a great cause. Tonight's great cause was for a local business, of which I've been lucky enough to meet the owner of several years ago, that is dealing with the unfortunate circumstances of construction (improvement of the road) right in front of his business. Michael Robinson, founder of Ma's Diner and City Dog Cafe, of which we are supporting tonight, is by far a righteous enough dude to get me out of the house to support. It is the community at its soul that supports our locals and tonight is once again proof that aside from anything, we love to help ours.

I ran into so many old friends, new friends, and generally great people tonight, that spent their time helping a local business get through some less than ideal times so we can enjoy them when it's normal again. Remember Tallahassee, the trick is you don't just help when it is in crisis, you support on a normal day too, so you're not saying I wish I went more when they were open.

Thank you to the TLH Beer Society for using their power for good, once again, and to everyone that came out to support a great business and wonderful person. It was great seeing everyone, networking (I know right), and getting a little tipsy.

Side note, or maybe full note if you watched the video before reading the context, it was proven tonight that the TLH Beer Society Golden Ticket not only gets you wonderful deals from every awesome place locally and somewhat regionally, it can open the finest of brews even if it is wax covered.

Anyway, it's time for bed. I love and miss you all. I had a great time running into so many of you tonight. Good night!

I knew today was going to be one of those days where I missed operating The Crum Box the most. Right about now, Harry, Kayla, Casey, and myself would be running a thousand miles an hour serving up arguably the most unique and best sausages to ever come out of the red caboose, the Corned Beef Sausage. The Irish Dance Tallahassee crew would be stomping away on the Gastgarden stage, the Guinness and Magner's would be ice cold, and the line awaiting this year's corned beef bounty would be starting before we even opened the doors. The annual tradition of corned beef sausage on St. Patrick's Day lasted for seven years and each one of those days grew bigger and with more excitement each year. We hope you enjoy your day today (safely), minus this tradition, and we miss tremendously seeing your faces on days like today and every other day.

Sla'inte!
