Tidying up! 🧹

While most everyone was off from work, the owners and staff at Amicus decided to take Labor Day to do some much needed sprucing up at Old City Waterworks! We are always working to make this place more like home which takes some elbow grease and good vibes. 😎

We are open this week Tuesday-Wednesday 4-10 PM, Closed Thursday for a private event, Friday 2-10 PM, Saturday 12-10 PM, and Sunday 12-8 PM.

The time is fast approaching 👀 Amicus’ Oktoberfest celebration is set! Join us 10/9-10/11 for a weekend full of masskrugs, bavarian pretzels, lederhosen, fun games, and plenty of Prosts! to go around. We will be tapping 4 beers for the occasion: Festbier, Märzen, Hefeweizen, and a Dunkel! You can also expect to see some of your favorite Oktoberfest games including sausage toss, hammerschlagen, masskrugstemmen, and even a contest for the best attire! We will have Yolonda - Blackberry Mimosa™️ on-site serving up classic german dishes as well as Harry’s Proper Burger with some American classics.

Join us this Saturday night 9/12 for a benefit concert hosted by Shine Tallahassee Inc. We will have Revival jammin’ out from 6-9 PM playing all your favorite tunes. As if it couldn’t get better, on-site will also be Southern Oyster Farms and Harry's Proper Burger serving up delicious oysters and burgers all night long! Please note that there is a suggested $20 donation that directly serves teens and adults with special needs in the area.

Did Team ABV take the trophy signing and the top prize? Of course not! Instead we awarded the next 3 teams AND gave EVERY team playing FREE BEER! 😎

We love our Thursday Trivia nights at historic Old City Waterworks and the new and old faces that continually show up to hang with us and enjoy food, drink, fun, and great times with friends! It’s become routine to compete with over 30 teams vying for the top prizes! See you in two weeks (we have a break next week on 9/10 for a private event). It was an honor to have local author Gina Davidson here for our most recent Pints & Pages book club last night! It was a great night of thoughtful discussion and Q&A. 📖

📍Next gathering has been set for November 10th @6:30pm. Join us for some brews and books!

We will be reading The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon, a historical mystery based on the real life and diary of 18th-century midwife Martha Ballard. This book follows a brave healer pursuing justice when a body is found entombed in ice! 🧊
