Chag Sameach!!! SHANA TOVA U'METUKA - may it be a sweet and blessed year. We are closed today (Fri, Sept 11) and will reopen on Tues, Sept 15 at our regular hours. Our extended holiday schedule is here as well and we keep our google maps page up-to-date.

Today is 9/11 and 25 years ago I lived in New York (Queens) and everyday, I worked in Manhattan, but at this time I was studying English and was in class in Queens when the planes hit. I headed home only to find out that the towers collapsed, incomprehensible to me even when I saw the videos of it. The Twin Towers were always special to me - I remember going over a fence at the top of the tower to get a better view to take a picture and the policeman jump on me as he thought I wanted to jump from the building - this was a beautiful adventure from the twins. May the memory of all those whose lives were taken by terrorists be blessed. 🇺🇸

Getting ready for the 4th of July and need some help to elevate your BBQ? Stop by on Friday or give us a call, happy to help you with celebrating 250 years of INDEPENDENCE!! We've got Hummus, Falafel, Bourekas, Kibbe, Moroccan Ci**rs, Israeli Salad, and Tabouli all work great as sides! And, if you like we can cover you with meat as well :) - Beef Kebabs, Pargiot (Boneless Chicken Thighs), Chicken Schnitzel, Turkey Shawarma!

One of my favorite meals that I love is Shakshuka - fresh tomatoes, onions, seasoning cooked to perfection with eggs poached in it. Mixing it together and eating it with warm pita - wow, it's something rich and satisfying. When I heard that it is good served with hummus, I had to try it and I put it on the menu. I was reminded the other day as I sat down to have some lunch - hummus and Shakshuka (no egg this time) - how well the tomatoes and hummus go with each other. Even this past Shabbat, bringing together hummus with a roasted tomatoes salad and homemade challah into one incredible bit - special! You can have it Vegan without the eggs!!!
