🍳🎉 Big news for downtown foodies!

While we were sad to see The Egg close its Kleman Plaza location earlier this year, we’re excited to share that the space won’t be empty for long. Local favorite JoEllen’s is expanding and relocating into the former space, bringing even more of what customers love to the heart of downtown.

A family-owned and operated restaurant since 2014, JoEllen’s has been a longtime supporter of downtown events and opened its first downtown location on Kleman Plaza in 2022. The new location will feature additional indoor dining space, a full bar, expanded outdoor seating, and more patio enhancements planned later this year.

Owned by Joe and Teresa Nix, JoEllen’s is named in honor of Joe’s mother and reflects the family’s passion for Southern hospitality, comfort food, and creating a welcoming place where people can gather around great food.

The grand opening is scheduled for June 2, and we couldn’t be more excited to see this locally owned business continue to grow and invest in downtown Tallahassee.
