Hello everyone! Today, Saturday, Aug. 8th we will NOT BE OPEN TODAY! Ole Hickory, the meat smoker, went on strike yesterday demanding shorter working hours and a cooler working environment!!! Now, after I respectfully declined his request, he showed his gratitude by going on strike and refusing to cook the meat!!!! Can you imagine that!!! We feed him all of the hickory wood and gas he wants and what ever he needs and this is how he repays us!!! I'm just trying to find some humor in a bad situation!
Ole Hickory is having issues and will not cook the meat! The parts have been ordered to fix the problem and we should be open on
Thursday the 13th!!! Everyone please stay cool and drink lots of water during this hot weather!!!! See you next week!

We will be OPEN Thursday and Friday, July 2nd and 3rd from 11:00 until 8 (unless we sell out of food before 8!!). We will be CLOSED Saturday, July 4th to celebrate the 250th Birthday of our great Nation!!! If you need to order food for Saturday, please do so as soon as possible. We hope you all have a safe and happy July 4th!!!! HAPPY 250TH AMERICA!!!!

We are seeking a new Pit Master - the person who prepares and smokes the meat.

In addition to preparing the meat for smoking and smoking the meat the duties also include but are not limited to:

Portion and serve the meat during food service for dine in or take out orders.
Help unload the food delivery truck and organize the meat in the walk-in cooler.
Inventory meat on hand at the end of the week.
Clean and maintain the Smoker
Various other smaller duties.
Days of Operation/Work are few hours on Wednesday.
Thursday thru Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00p.m. or until we are finished for the day.

You MUST be neat and clean at all times.
On time for work every day - no call ins - if you don't work, we don't open.
Good communication skills with owner and fellow employees.
Good attitude and work well with others.
We work hard but we try our best to have fun and enjoy our work.
THIS IS A NO DRAMA WORK ENVIRONMENT!!! Life is too short to deal with it and we are not going to!!!!

Experience is preferred but we will train the right person. Pay is based on experience.
