Hello there! I wanted to thank you for all the birthday wishes last week. 🤗💞 The messages, calls, visits, cards, flowers, and gifts were so heartwarming. Three and a half years ago, I didn't expect that so many customers would have become such good friends. I am beyond blessed to have so many amazing people in my life. Thank you all so much for making this 'job' of owning a bar so much more than that. 💓
Speaking of birthdays, our bartender Jadon turned 30 yesterday! 🥳🎈🎁 He is off this week though, so no cake here yet. 😁

Last Saturday's fry bread fundraiser to benefit N.A.R.S. (Native American Reentry Services) was a success! Their goal was met thanks to all of you who came by here to show support for them. Please go check out the Fry Bread Contest that they are holding at the Tahoma Indian Center tomorrow (before or after you come to the Hound 😉😁). They are having a free raffle there with a chance to win many things including items with beautiful beadwork, homemade lotions and salves, jewelry, and some THD giftcards and merch.

Hi, Everyone! 📣 Be sure to stop by here this coming Saturday the 15th between 2:00-8:00. We are hosting a fry bread sale to support the N.A.R.S. (Native American Reentry Services) organization's upcoming Fry Bread Contest that they are holding on 8/22. Stephanie's boyfriend, Osceola, has been working on the upcoming event for a while now. Stephanie had been helping him with the planning of it before she passed away. 💖🪽 The fry bread sale this Saturday will help raise funds for this non-profit organization and the important work that they're doing. I will be sharing more information soon regarding their upcoming contest, the cultural significance of fry bread, and info about some wonderful items that they will be raffling off at their event. I have never tried fry bread but I am looking forward to trying it this Saturday. 😋 Come join us and please help spread the word.

Hello there! Steve is on a well-deserved vacation at his favorite place...his family's cabin in Bandon Oregon, so you're stuck with just me all week. 🙂 He wasn't going to go at first because he was worried about me and didn't want me to have more work to do. He never worried when our Stephanie was here because he knew what a great team we were and how helpful she always was, but I insisted he take a break and assured him that although Steph is absolutely irreplaceable, we still have a solid team in place and we would be okay. We've been having to take our vacations separately for the past couple of years to focus on our business, but we hope that somehow we will be able to take a vacation together next year. 🤞🏽🙏🏽

Speaking of our team: Many of you got to see Jadon yesterday. He'll be working one day a week and sometimes more when needed. And today and tomorrow our bartender Sienna is returning to help out despite her busy schedule. We always appreciate her help and love having her here. 💗 One of our talented cooks, Chanda, had a birthday yesterday so we'll be celebrating today. 🎉🥳🎁🎈🎂 One of our specials this week is a delicious flatbread that Bonny, (another one of our talented cooks) came up with. 😋

Unfortunately this year, due to our space and staffing limitations, we will not be able to serve both age groups like we did last year. We will only be able to serve the college student group, age 18-24. They just need to show their current student ID. Please help spread the word to college students you may know to help us fight hunger/food insecurity.

Since we are participating on Sundays again this year, our dates will be Sunday 7/5 through Sunday 8/30 from 2:00-4:00.
