Peaks and Pints is a brew-fueled lodge in the heart of Basecamp Proctor in Northend Tacoma. It’s a craft beer and cider taproom where 21 and older brew nerds can wave their geek flags and keep waving them all the way home with filled growlers, a bottle shop with a broad and deep selection of craft beer in bottles and cans, and a eatery with tasty sandwiches, salads and appetizers.

“The Neighborhood Regular” — ham, havarti, mild cheddar, Dijon, mayo, tomato, and romaine on rye.

Roasted Red Pepper & Gouda Bisque brings silky comfort and sweet pepper warmth to every spoonful.

Früh Kölsch keeps things crisp and beautifully balanced, lifting the rye and Dijon while refreshing the palate between bites. Simple, classic, and exactly right.

The Great American Beer Festival hands out a lot of medals. But in 2025, Westbound & Down Brewing earned one of the biggest honors in American craft beer: Brewery Group of the Year.

Saturday’s Peaks and Pints flight explores why.

From the bright balance of Colorado Pale Ale and the silver medal-winning Don't Hassle the 'Hef to Juice Caboose Hazy IPA and two beautifully crafted West Coast IPAs, this is a brewery showing off its range without ever feeling the need to brag.

Five beers. Five styles. One of the most decorated breweries in America.

Peaks & Pints Friday Sandwich Special

“The Big Cheese Energy” — bacon, goat cheese, havarti, provolone, gouda, tomato, balsamic, and rosemary mayo on sourdough.

Alder wood smoked salmon chowder brings silky comfort and gentle smoke straight from the Pacific Northwest playbook.

Zoiglhaus Super Pils 4.0 keeps everything bright and balanced, its crisp snap cutting through the richness while letting the herbs, tomato, and smoky chowder shine.

Cheese wisely.

Dark beer has suffered from an image problem. Somewhere along the way, drinkers were convinced that deeper color meant heavier beer, bigger commitment, perhaps even paperwork.

But brewers have long known the truth: darkness can refresh.

Our Friday Dark Lager Flight traces the family tree from Bavaria's legendary Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel through Mexican-inspired dark lagers from Wet Coast and Von Ebert to Pacific Northwest schwarzbiers from Single Hill and Dru Bru.

Bread crust. Cocoa. Toasted malt. Caramel. Campfire. Cool evening air.

Five beers. One family tree. Proof that some of the most refreshing beers on Earth just happen to wear dark clothes.

Available all day at Peaks & Pints.

Peaks & Pints Thursday Sandwich Special

Kim-Cheese Brisket — brisket, housemade kimchi-kraut, Beecher’s cheddar, red onion, and mayo on French — smoky, tangy, melty, and somehow hitting every corner of the flavor map at once.

Chicken poblano soup rolls alongside with roasted pepper warmth and smooth comfort.

Douglas Lager keeps the whole operation beautifully balanced — crisp, clean, and refreshing enough to lift the kimchi-kraut, cool the richness, and leave every bite ready for the next.

Peaks & Pints Everybody’s Thursday Flight

In 2001, Doug Ellenberger packed a Volvo wagon in Indiana and pointed it toward the Columbia Gorge. A job at Full Sail led to meeting Christine McAleer. A few years later, they opened Everybody's Brewing in White Salmon with a simple philosophy: beer is better when the table gets bigger.

Our Everybody’s Thursday Flight is a five-glass road trip through that story: Apricot Sour, Sol Seeker Mexican Lager, Country Boy IPA, Greenhouse Guru West Coast IPA, and the bourbon-barrel-aged Uncle Stepdad’s.

Roasted Red Pepper & Gouda Bisque brings silky comfort and sweet pepper warmth alongside.

Lucky Envelope and Triceratops Brewing Yinz Jawn slides in crisp and refreshing, lifting the pesto, sharpening the tomato, and keeping every bite and spoonful feeling light on its feet.

What if the yeast chose the brewery?

That’s essentially the story of de Garde.

More than a decade ago, Trevor and Linsey Rogers settled on the Oregon Coast not because it was convenient, but because the native microbes drifting through Tillamook's cool marine air offered the possibility of creating beers that could exist nowhere else on Earth.

Wednesday’s Peaks and Pints de Garde Flight pours liquid geography.

The Kriek. The Purple. Peach Première. The Anniversary. The Broken Truck.

Wild ales shaped by ocean air, oak barrels, local fruit, patience, and years of spontaneous fermentation. Not sour beer for sour beer's sake. Not fruit beer for fruit beer's sake. These are beers that taste like weather, orchards, driftwood, sea mist, and time itself.
