🦞Sunday Spotlight: A family affair with Jodi🦞
For more than fifteen years, Jodi and her family have been part of the heart of this place. All three of her children have worked here at one time or another. Her son Brydan is on the team right now, and you can hear the pride in her voice when she talks about him.
If you ask Jodi why guests keep coming back, she'll tell you it's the feeling. "People come back because they feel at home. It's always great service, and people enjoy the longevity of the servers here, it feels good to sit down at a table and be greeted by name." After fifteen years, plenty of our regulars know hers, too.
Then there's the view. She's watched the waterfront put on quite a show over the years! Once, a pod of orcas swam within fifteen feet of the patio, but her favorite memory is the time two baby seals were born right on our dock. "It was incredible to watch."
A few of Jodi's current favorites: the scallops are her go-to, her drink of choice is a French 75, and lately she's been loving the Pearl Diver cocktail paired with fresh oysters.

Thank you, Jodi, for fifteen years of warmth, family, and making everyone who sits in your section feel right at home. You're family to us, and we're so grateful for you!

🦞 Sunday Spotlight: Grab a Spot at the Bar with our Regular Peter 🦞

If you've sat at our bar on a Thursday, you've probably seen Peter. Perched at his spot, paper in hand, a glass of Scotch within reach, and easy conversation with whoever's working.

Peter's been dining with us for years, and while he loves the food, it's the people he keeps coming back for. His Thursday tradition goes back to around 2015, when he'd stop in for happy hour after a round of golf ... usually ordering the calamari, which, in his words, is the "best in town."

Over the years, Peter has celebrated some special moments with us, too, including his 80th birthday surrounded by family and friends, with Jodi taking great care of his table.

What he loves most is that the Lobster Shop can be whatever the moment calls for, a casual seat at the bar or a dressed-up evening in the dining room.

Thank you, Peter, for years of Thursdays, good conversation, and being such a treasured part of our bar family. We'll always keep your spot ready.

🦞 Sunday Spotlight: Shaking It Up with Cassi 🦞
Some people find their way to the Lobster Shop. Cassi found her way back.
This August marks three years behind the bar for Cassi, but her history with us goes back much further. Growing up, she and her grandma would come here for brunch on special occasions. Those memories never left her, so when the opportunity came to work at the very place that held them, she took it.

Cassi had worked with our bartender Jenny years before, and when we were looking to add someone behind the bar, Jenny reached out. It was just a couple of months after Cassi's grandma had passed away, and Cassi jumped at the opportunity, feeling she was meant to be here.

"It's special to me to be able to help create memories for others," she says, "just like I had with my grandma."

She loves treating her family, especially when Tacoma comes alive for events like the Tacoma Yacht Club's Daffodil Marine Parade. Her motto? "Take ordinary moments and make them extraordinary."
Thank you, Cassi, for bringing your whole heart to every shift. We're so glad you found your way home. ❤️

When the sun's out we're recommending the Shrimp Ceviche. Made with fresh shrimp, watermelon, cilantro, tomato, red onion, jalapeño, and plenty of fresh lime, served with crisp tortilla chips.

Trust us... this is your sign to grab a table and probably order a cocktail too.
