1 COOK(~30 hrs AM/PM, pay DOE)

• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, assisting with prepping.
• Plating prepared food.
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.

Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience as a line cook
• Current health card with an exceptional understanding of health regulations and procedures
• Ability to pass basic skills test (knife test/cooking to temp/plating)

2 SERVERS (AM/PM, Minimum+Tips)

Job Description:
· Greeting and seating customers
· Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system
· Making menu item recommendations
· Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
· Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality
· Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals
· Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
· Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen and in the dining area
Qualifications:
• Experience REQUIRED
• Breakfast server preferred
• Food handler’s card
• Excellent customer service, including patience and a friendly demeanor
• Exceptional organization and time management
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Great active listening skills
• Ability and willingness to collaborate
• Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work flexible work schedules that include nights and weekends
• Physically able to be on their feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted

Dear Community,

I am writing to inform you that we will be closing the donation campaign for Country Rose Café, as we have successfully secured a loan. This funding will significantly assist us in addressing the repairs and managing the considerable expenses we have incurred.

We are actively working on the repairs and coordinating with our general contractor and the construction team. This has been a lengthy process, as we have been closed for almost a whole month, but we are committed to moving forward.

I want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who have contributed. We recognize the challenges many are facing in this unstable economy, especially as we all recover from the pandemic. Your support, prayers, and kindness have meant the world to us.

Dear Community,

For over 30 years, our restaurant has been more than just a place to eat; it has been a hub for memories, celebrations, and a sense of togetherness. Unfortunately, we are facing a significant setback that threatens our ability to continue serving you.

Due to the severe deterioration of our old grease trap and 80 feet of pipe beneath our building, we must close temporarily. The costs to repair or replace these essential components are substantial, and regrettably, our insurance will not cover the expenses due to wear and tear. Although our lease states that these repairs fall under the landlord’s responsibility, they continue to claim it is not their obligation to assist us.

With ongoing expenses and no revenue during this closure, we are facing the real risk of bankruptcy. This situation is dire not only for us but also for our 30 dedicated employees and their families. The repair work is vital for the safety and functionality of our restaurant, as well as for the livelihoods of our team and the many patrons who rely on us daily.

We are reaching out to you, our cherished community, for support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us cover construction costs and keep us afloat until we can reopen. Additionally, sharing our story with others who may be willing to help would mean the world to us.

Even during these challenging times, we value our role in your lives and the community. We are committed to reopening and continuing our tradition of bringing people together. Your support in this difficult time would be immensely appreciated, and we hope to give back to the community in return.
