There’s no good time to say something like this ——so we’re just going to let everyone here know the important news:

APIZZA Little Italy’s last day of service was Sunday, October 5th.

Chef Marshall is retiring after 21 years as a northwest pizza entrepreneur; co-creator of Veraci Pizza in 2004 and creator of Tacoma’s one and only APIZZA Little Italy.

Marshall wants to do some other creative projects and made the very, very difficult decision after a long period of analysis, reflection and prayer.

We want to thank our amazing culinary/hospitality team for all that they did to make APIZZA so special, delicious and successful——-a joy for the community.

We could not be more proud of their tireless days and nights———doing everything imaginable to make an upstart restaurant succeed at a very high level.

We will always be thankful they sailed the ship with us———-staying clear of many shoals.

We also want to thank and give a mountain of love to all of the fabulous performing artists ———who graced our “community project” with their passioate songs and music.

It was one of the best parts of the whole experience - and we will always hold you dear to our hearts. The Arts are alive and well here in Tacoma.

We are hoping a new generation of culinary entrepreneurs will pick up where we left off———-and take our innovative design and open kitchen to a new level.

There is truly nothing like, or comparable, to the restaurant business——and we have an incredible opportunity here at 821 Pacific Avenue for the right person.

We also want to thank our beloved loyal customers——who made it possible to succeed and grow for almost three years.

We will be forever grateful for their patronage, support and the love they shared with us.
