So......It's been a very busy and eventful June at Jacs Whistle Stop Cafe.. I'm retiring (again), and we've sold the building.
As I look back, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. These past 13 years with Jac’s Whistle Stop Café have been some of the most rewarding and exciting years of my life. What started as a little dream grew into a community — one built on early‑morning coffees, shared stories, familiar faces, and the joy of serving people from near and far.
I’ll never forget racing Clarence, Ricky, Pete & Mike to the café in the mornings, trying to beat them to the door before they could claim they “opened the place.” It’s the little moments like that — the laughter, the routines, the friendships — that made this café so much more than a business. It became a family.
To everyone who walked through our doors, supported us, prayed for us, shared a meal with us, or simply stopped in to say hello — thank you. You’ve been the heart of this place. You’ve blessed me more than you know.
I am especially thankful for the wonderful employees who stood beside me through the busy mornings, the weekend rushes, and everything in between. Their hard work, loyalty, and heart helped shape this café into what it became. I couldn’t have done any of this without you.
As this chapter closes, a new one is beginning.
Please join me in welcoming and embracing Chubby Cheeks Country Deli, who will be opening soon. I couldn’t be happier to see another small business step into our community. I hope you’ll show them the same kindness, loyalty, and laughter you’ve shared with me over the years.
