Have some new arrivals to the homestead. F2 Zombies a couple Silver Laced Wynadottes and a couple mystic onyx mixes. So far 12 of the 15 have hatched. Im going to give the last 3 a day or two more.

Ok fellow homesteaders. Im looking for some advice. I have some chicks for sale and I think i have them fairly priced for what they are, but it seems everyone interested is scared off by the price. Do I lower my prices to appease the masses or stick to my prices until I find someone that will pay for them?? We all have time invested in what we do and I don't want to undercut myself.

Today has been a rough day. Got home from work to find 5 of my grow out pullets have died from the gnats attacking them and my Speckled Sussex Rooster died from the heat. They were all in shaded areas with fresh water. I guess its part of raising chickens.

Made my first sale today on some guinea keets. Feel accomplished.

Had a nice surprise when I got up this morning! My guineas decided to hatch early. They weren't supposed to go on lock down until tomorrow.

Miss Zoe has gone broody! She sitting on about 5-6 eggs. I already have a dozen in the incubator of hers.
