It’s our 6th Annual Trick or Treat! 🍭 Halloween is taking over the market with trick-or-treating at all 10 vendors, festive decorations, fun activities, goodie bags for every child, and pumpkins to take home! 🧡

The Grown-Up Book Fair is happening THIS WEEK, October 8 & 9, in the Forum at Salt City Market! Explore books from a lineup of local vendors, with something for every kind of reader and plenty of new topics, stories and ideas to discover.

And of course, grab a bite or drink from one of the market’s local food vendors while you browse. Because what’s better than finding a new book and having something delicious to snack on while you read?

Rain or shine,, we are here Westcott Community Center from 5 to 7 p.m. We are serving Vietnamese and Syrian comfort food. We also have a special from Soup Camp. It’s not too late to swing by in person if you didn’t already order online. Here’s the menu:

1. Viet chicken congee with sesame rice crackers and cabbage slaw. (GF)

2. Vegan Viet congee with tofu and kabocha, along side sesame rice crackers, slaw. (V, GF)

3. Syrian honeycomb bread with pistachio sauce, chocolate.

4. Syrian ouzi rice with ground beef, peas, carrots, nuts.

5. Soup Camp: Kimba root soup, featuring both African and Middle Eastern spices. Think roasted peanuts, ginger and hearty blend of
carrots, golden and sweet potatoes, collard green ribbons, and onions. (VG)

6. Karak Tea: Middle Eastern spiced black tea infused with cardamom, cloves, rich milk, and Safron.
