Job description:
Eden is an entirely wood fired, upscale-casual, dining experience in the Heart of Central, New York. Our mission is to highlight the best food producers, farmers, brewers, distillers, and foragers in New York State. We strive to source as much of our food at the restaurant locally, or through sustainable farms. Our menu is constantly evolving as the seasons change.
Eden Hospitality is looking for an exceptional Line Cook to be a part of our culinary team!
Qualified applicants must have experience and proficiency in cooking meats to preferred temperatures, be familiar with modern progressive cooking techniques, be dedicated and friendly, and have a strong desire to achieve high goals. Applicants must have a passion for cooking and strive for success.
Responsibilities
* Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
* Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
* Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
* Answer, report and follow chef’s instructions
* Clean up station and take care of leftover food
* Stock inventory appropriately
* Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements
* Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
* Familiar with industry’s best practices

We are honored to once again be the recipient of the Distinctive Restaurants of North America award for 2026!

Join us for an evening celebrating the vibrant culinary traditions and renowned wines of Cayalunya. Our menu this month will highlight costal influences and rustic Catalan techniques, as well as some dishes inspired by the seminal restaurant El Bulli on the Costa Brava.

The evening begins with Calcots with Charred Onion & Romesco, a Catalan specialty of sweet spring onions grilled over an open flame until smoky and tender, served with a rich romesco sauce of roasted peppers, almonds, olive oil, and garlic.

Next comes Coca de Mullador, a traditional Catalan flatbread topped with slow-cooked vegetables - tomato, pepper, and eggplant - bringing a rustic Mediterranean sweetness that pairs beautifully with the crisp white wines of this region.

Our next two dishes will take us to a more modern vision of Catalan cuisine, Inspired by the ground breaking restaurant El Bulli.

Raviolis de Caviar follows as an elegant bite, served with creme fraiche, and lemon for a luxurious contrast of flavors and textures.

The costal spirit of Catalunya continues in our next dish, Gazpacho con Bogavante, a chilled tomato gazpacho elevated with tender lobster, offering bright acidity, sweetness, and refreshing depth.

Vieires i Carfoxes presents seared day-boat scallops with artichokes, a classic Mediterranean pairing where the caramelized sweetness of the scallops meets the earthy complexity of artichokes.

The centerpiece of the evening is Suquet de Peix, a traditional Catalan fisherman’s stew. This comforting dish features seafood simmered with potatoes, saffron, garlic, and tomato, finished with a picada of almond and herbs that give it its signature richness.

For the meat course, Confit d’Anec i Peres showcases slow-cooked duck confit served with tender pears and lentils, balancing savory depth with gentle sweetness.

To finish, Crema Catalunya, Catalunya’s iconic custard dessert, arrives delicately scented with citrus and cinnamon, topped with a crisp caramelized sugar crust.

An intimate evening of food, wine, and Catalan tradition awaits!
