For those that know we are closed, and for those who stumble upon us and seeing we have closed and relenquished our part in whatever business that takes hold there.

I want to say, to this day I still spend time with my family whom owned, and operated this amazing family business.

We laugh, we joke, and we remember all the great times, people, and food we were able to put out from such a small family establishment.

Being a full time chef now, I have had such an easy time transitioning and moving up in the culinary field in Syracuse on my last name alone.

Yet because of what I grew up in, how much we cared about what we provided to be as real to our family dinners as what we served you, and a wholehearted passion for food...said last name has shown my employer that I back that name with such enthusiasm and skill that I grew up learning.

I wanted to post this because without my growing up in Alessandro's Pizza, I wouldn't be half the Chef I am today.

I wouldn't have been what I am and what we were without such amazing people like all of you.

Years later, I feel we owe all of you a profound thank you. Thank you for your patronage, your appreciation, and your enjoyment of what we provided!

Hell who knows, maybe one day after my engineering degree I'll rekindle that fire and bring our food back out to the public for people to enjoy yet again!

It is taking a bit longer than was originally expected as the whole inside of the building is getting renovated. Once I get some more info from my father I will pass it on. Thank you all for the thoughts though!

So pizza is one of those foods you can be as creative as you want with. What other food can you think of that you can completely customize to your hearts content? One of my favorites is what I call a Caprese Pizza : Garlic, Pesto, Fresh Tomato, Mozzarella, topped with Balsamic Reduction.

What about you? What combinations of toppings are your favorite? Tell us your most creative pizza, the one with the most likes gets a large on the house, and the pizza will be sold at a special price for the month of October!

All that sicilian chicken talk got me hungry..

After being in this business with my father for a long time, I can only eat the same thing on the menu so many times. I find myself mixing and matching and making my own subs, pizzas, salads etc.

Looking for something new? One sub I make for myself is what I call my Sicilian Chicken Sandwich. Breaded chicken cutlets, light coating of mayo, Genoa salami, and roasted red peppers smothered with mozzarella cheese and given a quick toast in the oven. Best part is, you can order 1 too!

Pizza's aren't the only thing you can make your own, so the next time your looking for something new, give that sandwich a shot, for $7.00(+tax) I am sure you won't be disappointed!
