Hey everyone! If you haven’t heard Peking is reopening today and the buffet is open. 🎉

01/25/2026

As you may have heard, Peking will be open through January 31st then will be closed for a few weeks for renovations. The long awaited buffet will be back once we reopen! John and Amy will be retiring after this week so pop in and wish them well on their retirement. The new owners/management will keep the essence of many of Peking’s dishes (they’ve been shadowing/learning for the past few months) are ready to continue to serve the community. Richard and a few familiar faces will still remain. We are excited for this new chapter. Thank you for all of your years of patronage and relationships built over the years.

Impressive piece of art from our local author's newest novel.

Excerpt from 'Some Things Last...' "Second Interlude: I'm Floating"

Sydney continued sipping his drink as the lights began to dim, and the DJ finally hopped onto the mic. "Good evening, gentlemen, and welcome to the Sexothèque!! I'm D.B., your D.J., and curator of all the hot tunes to match the smokin' hot talent we've got here tonight. First off, let me welcome to the stage the delightfully lovely and stunning….Miss Moon…" A moment later, D.B. dropped the needle on a record, filling the room with a loud thumping bass line.
One of the lights from the front of the stage lit up and shone upon the disco ball, casting shards of light in every direction. Then, a beautiful woman slowly walked out of the shadows from behind the stage. She had lightly tanned skin and short black hair. Other than a cheeky grin upon her crimson lips, she was completely n**e.
The woman quickly approached the pole in the center of the stage and wrapped her body around it. Sydney stared at her, unable to look away. She twirled about several times, clasping the pole between her legs and leaning back, staring into the audience…he felt she was staring at him specifically.

Local author and longtime customer Dino Jones is releasing a second edition of his debut novel. Check it out if you haven't read it yet!

Next Friday, I will be releasing the second edition of my debut novel, 'Born From A Wish.' I made some corrections to the paragraph spacing and fixed some grammatical errors scattered about. With all of that fixed, the page count has been lowered to 203 pages compared to the 253 present in the first edition.

(On July 7, the first edition will no longer be available for purchase, and the second edition will take over.)

Sydney is living the good life. He has a well-paying job that he loves, a car of his own - a Mazda Miata, a spacious apartment, and a girlfriend that's crazy about him. He’s been with Victoria for almost ten years but is asked an unexpected question by her. “Do you ever think you’ll feel like ...

One of our long time customers recently wrote a novel which has a restaurant inspired by Peking Garden in it! It's quite an interesting novel with a lot of twists. If you enjoy a good book, give 'Born From A Wish' a read.
