Hello to all our fans! I have some news but unfortunately it is sad news. I have made the decision to sell my shop. Sales have exploded the last couple of years, and while things are going well, running The Village Twist demands more time than I anticipated, leaving me unable to attend to other obligations. I understand that many people wish for us to extend our opening hours, have a longer season, and offer more items on the menu but I am just not able to make this happen. It’s disheartening to disappoint our customers, and I believe it’s time for someone to take over who can continue to grow and improve the business beyond my capabilities.

The shop will remain closed until a new owner is found. The property will not be listed right away as I am still in the process of cleaning and performing maintenance on the building and equipment, so I kindly ask for your patience. You would be surprised where random sprinkles can end up! I will post the listing as soon as it is available. I have not met with the realtor yet, so the asking price isn’t determined, and she won’t be able to provide any information about the property at this time.

Hold on to your gift cards! I plan to collaborate with the new owners to try to honor them.

A heartfelt thank you to all my employees who have been on this wild ride with me – I could not have done it without you! Thank you to the Village of Sycamore and all the local businesses that have supported us. And of course, a big thank you to all our fans! It has been a pleasure serving you over the last five years.

Here is our updated clearance list. The only thing I have added is the Fudge, but I marked some of the other items down some more. We still have fresh quarts for $2.50 each but we are out of the Orange Sherbet. There is one Orange Sherbet frozen quart left, which is also $2.50. Today will be the last day to get fresh soft serve from the machine. We are out of Shredded Chicken, but we still have Cheeseburgers, Coney Dogs, Chicken Chunks and Crispy Chicken Tacos. I don't have a closing time set for today. We are up here cleaning so just stop if you see the Open sign lit. You may also call in orders at (419) 927-2910. Thank you! -Elizabeth

We are open today and we have fresh quarts of soft serve for $2.50 each. We have Vanilla, Chocolate, Chocolate/Vanilla, Orange and Orange/Vanilla available. You can also order from our regular ice cream menu and we have some of our hot food menu available, including Shredded Chicken Sandwiches, Cheeseburgers, Coney Dogs, Chicken Chunks, Crispy Chicken Tacos, Fries and Pickle Fries. An updated list of our clearance items will be posted soon. We really are closing for the season so stop by if you can! Edit: We are open until 9pm today.
