SWAMPSCOTT CLUCKERS:
Today, we’re sharing some difficult news:
As our lease in Swampscott comes to an end, we have made the decision not to renew and to close this Flip The Bird location.
This will be our final week in business at 450 Paradise Rd, we’ll be open Wednesday – Sunday 11am to 8pm, we’d love to see you!
Like many small businesses, we've faced significant challenges in recent years:
*Long-term construction around this location, making it difficult for customers to get to us
*Rising operating costs
*Increasing rents
*Higher food prices
*and the overall cost of doing business have made it increasingly difficult to sustain growth and expansion while maintaining the quality and service our wonderful guests have come to expect from us.
We are currently looking for a new location in and around the Swampscott area to reopen, as we’ve had great success here over the past 5 years! We’ve toured a few spots, but nothing has checked off all the boxes yet. Until we can secure the right location, we feel that consolidating Flip The Bird’s operations is the best immediate path forward.
By focusing our resources and strengthening our core business, we can build a more sustainable foundation for the future, continue investing in our amazing team, and better serve YOU, our awesome customers, for years to come!
While closing this location is not the outcome we had hoped for, we believe this decision will ultimately make Flip The Bird stronger and position us for long-term success in an increasingly challenging environment for independent businesses.
We are deeply grateful to our staff, customers, and the Swampscott community for your support throughout our journey. The memories we’ve made here will always be part of the FTB story, and we look forward to welcoming you at our remaining locations as we begin this next chapter.
After Sunday, come visit the Swampscott team in our Beverly + Danvers locations as we’ll be transferring everyone to these stores to keep everyone employed!
Thank you for believing in us, Swampscott!
