❤️ A Letter From the Roll Out Family ❤️
There are some posts you never imagine having to write.
For us, this is one of them.
After a lot of conversations, a lot of prayer, and a whole lot of emotion, we have made the decision to close the doors to our Roll Out storefront and begin a brand new chapter.
This is one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever made, but it is also one we are genuinely excited about.
As we’ve been preparing for this next chapter, we’ve found ourselves reminiscing about where it all began.
We still laugh about those early mornings when we’d wake up at 6:00 AM, stop at McDonald’s to grab a bag full of breakfast sandwiches, and head to Myrtle’s Market. We’d spend the entire day there from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM, talking to everyone who walked by, hoping they’d give this crazy little rolled ice cream idea a chance.
Some days we’d pack everything up after seven hours and head home with forty dollars in sales. 😂
At the time, it felt discouraging.
Looking back now, those were some of the best days of all.
We were building something together. We were chasing a dream. We were learning. We were growing. We were meeting people who would eventually become regulars, then friends, and eventually family.
Success did not happen overnight.
It happened one customer, one conversation, and one scoop at a time.
Roll Out has always been about so much more than ice cream.
It has been first dates, birthday parties, celebrations after baseball games, families creating traditions, kids picking out their favorite toppings, and friends catching up after a long week. We have watched little kids become teenagers. We have celebrated birthdays year after year with the same families. We have watched strangers walk through our doors and leave as friends.
Those are the moments that made Roll Out special.
Because of you, a dream became reality.
Because of you, we were honored to be voted Best Ice Cream, Best Desserts, and Best Catering.
Because of you, this little shop became part of this incredible community.
There is simply no way to thank you enough.
While this chapter is coming to an end, please know this is not goodbye.
Roll Out is not going away.
In fact, we are incredibly excited for what comes next.
Our bright pink trailer will continue serving the homemade ice cream you know and love at festivals, football games, community events, weddings, private parties, corporate events, and so many other places around the Grand Strand. We truly believe this next chapter will allow us to create even more memories with all of you.
Before we close the doors to the shop for the final time, we have one last favor to ask.
Come see us.
Come bring the kids one more time.
Come order your favorite flavor.
Come sit at your favorite table.
Come watch us roll one more ice cream.
Come let us thank you in person for being part of this incredible journey.
If you’ve ever said, “We’ve been meaning to stop by,” this is your chance.
For our final weeks, our storefront will be open every day from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and we hope these become the busiest, happiest, and most memorable weeks we’ve ever had.
We want to fill the shop with laughter one more time.
We want to hear your stories.
We want to make a few more memories before we turn the page.
The storefront may be closing, but Roll Out is far from over.
This is not the end of our story.
It is simply the beginning of a brand new chapter.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and allowing us to be part of your family’s memories over the years.
