If you ever came into the Anchor Bar from the late 70’s through 2020’s odds are Bean probably served you a beverage or two! She was a staple here at the Anchor who started as a bartender and then into management at the bar. She had logged in many miles behind the bar in her 43 years as an employee at the Anchor! The bar would not be what it is today if it weren’t for her. You will be missed but never forgotten. Thanks Bean for the many years of employment!

The #1 girls hockey team in the state of Wisconsin is looking to bounce back this week as the Spartans welcome in Western Wisconsin. The fun begins this Saturday at 6 p.m. with a JV match-up, followed by the varsity contest at 8 p.m at Wessman Arena. Come out and support your Spartans on their final regular season game of the year!

We are about halfway through the regular season, and our boys soccer team is eying for another victory. The Spartans will host the Lake Superior Conference Boys Soccer Day this Saturday at the NBC Sports Complex. Below is the schedule for all the games that day. JV will be played on the grass fields across 28th street.

Proctor vs. Hermantown JV 11:30AM/V 12PM
Grand Rapids vs. Cloquet JV 1:30 PM/V 2PM
Denfeld vs. Hibbing JV 3:30 PM/V 4PM
Marshall vs. Superior JV 5:30/V 6PM
