Big news out of the 2026 : we cracked the Top 10 for the first time! It’s a great milestone for our production team and a testament to the hard work our team puts into all our beer.

Huge shoutout to our brewing team for bringing home two more medals from the 2026 ! Stomp snagged a Silver in International Pale Ale category, and Cocoa Cow grabbed a Bronze in Chocolate Beer.

It’s great to see these beers recognized on the international stage. Stomp is just getting started with 3 major awards in its young career, while Cocoa Cow continues to prove why it’s a crowd favorite with this latest addition to a collection of 24 awards.

While we love getting creative in the brewhouse with experimental batches, there is something uniquely rewarding about seeing our core lineup earn this kind of recognition. It’s a testament to the daily focus on consistency alongside the small, repeated refinements that keep our flagships tasting the way they should.

We're stoked to have a crew that, even with over a century of combined experience, still treats every single batch like it’s the most important one they’ll ever brew. Thank you to the entire team for keeping the standards high and the beer dialed in. We’re looking forward to bringing more wins home to Sunriver.

As I sat enjoying a (delicious!) post-photoshoot meal at with Founding Brewer and Director of Operations Brett Thomas last Friday, he suddenly realized that that day, July 3rd, marked his 13th anniversary at Sunriver Brewing Company.

"Wow," he said, "That's just....wow. I'll have to think on that a bit." He exhaled slowly and paused, lost in thought. In my time knowing Brett, I have never seen him at a loss for words.

For 13 years, we've enjoyed Brett as a craftsman and experimenter, a mentor and mentee, a collaborator and leader, and, above all, a friend. So thank you Brett, from everyone at Sunriver Brewing Co. for all of the many, many beers you have shared with our team, our community, and the beer drinkers the world over!

Trying out some brand new hop samples for some upcoming beers!

Our brewing team keeps up-to-date with the latest hop varieties from not just the PNW but all over the world. The aroma profile, color, consistency, and a ton of beer science-y stuff can vary across hop producer, variety, harvest year, and even the field they grew from, so we have a near-endless amount of flavors to play with in all the limited beers we brew.

Thanks to Hopsteiner, Charles Faram & Co, and more for these and many, many other samples we recieve. Can't wait to share what we've got coming up!
