Like most county shelters the animal control kennels do not have air conditioning. We keep the dogs comfortable with four large fans.
Saving Sumter Strays is asking for donations to help us purchase two new fans from Tractor Supply so the pups at Animal Control can stay as cool as possible during these hot days.

(This is an SSS project. The county or Animal Control has not asked for donations for fans. SSS would just like to provide extra fans. The kennel does have permanent exhaust fans which were replaced last year by the county and are still working well.)

Meet Mr Moseley (he’s kinda famous if you’re familiar with Downton Abbey). He’s approx 2 yrs old, and was found as a stray. Sadly, he is heartworm positive. Maybe a doodle mix? Y’all, he is kinda awesome! Come see us at Soda City Saturday and love on Mr Moseley. He’s not a baby, but he needs your lovin! 🐾

Our newest foster is just a baby. He is the last of the Backstreet Boys. AJ loves snuggles, balls, bones, food, dogs, and staying on your heels EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. What a sweetheart he is. He was adamant that he choose his seat on the way home 🥰
