The frost is lurking. .... If you're still trying to ripen tomatoes you should have your covers handy! But the days are glorious, as they traditionally are at this time of year. We've got some very tasty specials this week, so you should see if we have one of your favorites, or be brave and try a new one !

We've got some very nice weather going on right now. Not quite Fall, but definitely not Summer. Still shirt sleeve weather, but moderate temperatures. So we kind of have a hodge-podge of specials this week, since the season is still up in the air. Pick a favorite and come on in and we'll celebrate the clear air, the demise of the Hagen fire, and sunny skies.

All of a sudden we have to have a jacket in the morning - a definite sign of seasons changing - and a welcome relief. And, if you can believe the forecast, we're actually supposed to get some genuine rain this week. Many thanks to our rain dancers !! Something to look forward to ---Clean Air ! There's just a hint of Fall out there - cooler mornings and a few leaves starting to skitter around. The air is slightly clearer....so we're seeing improving attitudes and more smiles. AND, school started this week !! So we've got some clever specials to celebrate this positive change.

We got some very welcome clearing this weekend - it was wonderful to feel a breeze blowing through my windows !! But, of course, we also got some thunder boomers and spotty rain to go with it. Our hats are off to the fire fighters that patrolled all weekend and stayed on top of the few flareups that occurred. So we're still safe in our little end of the valley for now. Our special thanks to all the watcheers and rain and snow dancers.....we're sure the weather gods are doing their part and we'll eventually have a smoke free environment once again. But we'll still keep fixing those great specials, so you'll have something good to eat while you're getting your up-to-date fire information. Try one of these this week....

We are issuing an urgent call out to all our beleagured residents. We need everyong to do their favorite rain or snow dance to help alleviate our current smoke problem. It was a crazy weekend. That Hagan Fire kept us all guessing, with changing winds and changing levels of evacuation notices.....something we're not used to in our sleepy little village. However, we'll still have some normalcy, and some friendly exchange, and something good to eat to keep us all grounded. Here's some tasty options for this week.

***NEWS BULLETIN*** Pizza Night is alive and well !! We'll be making a fresh batch of those tempting pies this Saturday and the schedule is set up and waiting for your call. If you have Fair activities for the weekend, you can get your favorite pizza as a Take-N-Bake and cook it to fit your schedule. Just let us know when you can pick it up and it'll be ready. Call early so you won't go into pizza withdrawal after missing July. 541-534-6701.
