It was a crazy weekend. That Hagan Fire kept us all guessing, with changing winds and changing levels of evacuation notices.....something we're not used to in our sleepy little village. However, we'll still have some normalcy, and some friendly exchange, and something good to eat to keep us all grounded. Here's some tasty options for this week.

***NEWS BULLETIN*** Pizza Night is alive and well !! We'll be making a fresh batch of those tempting pies this Saturday and the schedule is set up and waiting for your call. If you have Fair activities for the weekend, you can get your favorite pizza as a Take-N-Bake and cook it to fit your schedule. Just let us know when you can pick it up and it'll be ready. Call early so you won't go into pizza withdrawal after missing July. 541-534-6701.

We have several things to look forward to this week - one of which is NOT this smoke!! So maybe, if we have good things to eat, and enjoy the new, and quieter, air conditioning in the tavern, it'll just go away. If it doesn't, we'll still have the great specials and cooler environment. Great Weelend !! Tim Hadler was at his all time best and our friends and good neighbors were celebrating his outstanding music and dedication to our veterans and the military that keep us safe. Much singing and dancing - by both Tim and concert fans and local staff. He'll be back !! While we're anticipating, we've got some tasty and interesting dishes for you this week.....

The fireworks were fantastic, and properly celebrated our 250 year anniversary, while also scaring all the dogs in the Grande Ronde valley. But we're retaining the beautiful summer weather and grass harvest is fully underway. And the Summerville Store is still cooking up those very tasty specials you can get each day. NEWS FLASH !! Our great musical friend, Tim Hadler, is coming back for another concert on July 18th ! He was here on June 13th, but was competing with Stock Show activities, and since he is still in the area, he wanted to do another show and touch base with all his friends here.

He'll be performing that Saturday, July 18th, starting about 6:00 pm, and bringing all that musical goodness for a truly outstanding concert. Come and enjoy this superlative talent, with all the toe tapping, hand clapping, whooping and hollering fun for the evening !!

Don't let this cooler, rainy weather fool you.....Summer is whizzing by at an unprecedented rate ! And rumor has it that we're headed for drier, warmer temperatures soon. After all, it is the 4th of July weekend coming up.

We will be closed on Saturday, the 4th, which would have also been our monthly pizza day. Just for July, we're taking a little pizza vacation, but don't panic, we'll be back in dough tossing, sauce slinging, pepperoni plunking mode in August.

We have some tasty specials this week, so take a little break from your weekend planning and try one of these.

Good news !! Our phone is fixed and you can call in your orders anytime. We're so sorry for that inconvenience, but we're all fixed now.

So this coming week our schedule is going to be kind of crazy. Here's those tasty specials you can selectively enjoy:

Tuesday - Tacos (yes, we know they're usually on Wednesday)
Friday - Sub Sandwiches

On Wednesday and Thursday, the Tavern will be closed for use by the film crew that will be shooting scenes for the movie "Bad Day for Bigfoot". They'll be shooting scenes in and around the Summerville area over the next few weeks, and we'll get more information as they come along. Stay Tuned !!! Thanks for your cooperation in lending out our "Home Place". Maybe it'll let the rest of the world know what a special place this is ! The Store will be open during the day, so you can access your mail and get groceries and snacks as needed for your summer adventures. Have a great week !!
