The course features rolling fairways, undulating greens, bunkers around many greens, and water hazards on several holes, making course management a key to lower scores.

Want faster clubhead speed? Try this 30-second fix right on the tee box:

1. Grab a club, hold it horizontally out in front of you for balance.
2. Sink into a shallow quarter-squat (your golf athletic posture).
3. Hold for 15 seconds, actively squeezing your glutes at the bottom.
4. Do 5 fast, explosive bodyweight jumps or dynamic hip-hinges.

These moves fire up your posterior chain so you can actually drive through the ball and transfer power from the ground up, rather than dragging the club with your arms.

Before the area became Del Webb’s Spruce Creek Golf & Country Club, portions of the property were used for cattle grazing and peanut farming. Local reporting notes that the land was purchased in the 1950s (about 1,000 acres) and later sold a few years after. The opening of Eagle Ridge Golf Club’s Sandwich Shoppe was announced in a December 1998 newsletter.

Over the last 20+ years, the restaurant has carried a few different names, but the setting and hospitality remained consistent. In July 2021, the restaurant was renovated and rebranded with experienced staff to bring new energy back to the property. We now know and love it as the Liberty Grille!

It's fun to hit the ball as hard as you can off the tee; however, that can leave you with a bad setup for your second shot or worse — a lost ball.

Instead of hitting with all your might, keep a controlled swing off the tee, focusing on tempo instead of power. It might not go as far, but you'll likely be in a better position for your second shot.
