A couple things here. I enjoy a much needed call out. We deserved this. We were in the wrong here. If the staff was unpleasant that is 💯 my fault. I’m the owner. If the food wasn’t good, slow, any issue anyone has is 💯 my fault. It’s my responsibility. I need to be better in so many ways. Motivate, energize, you name it, I need to be better as an owner. If I am not there, I have to have full confidence of this incredible staff. And I do, but I’ve got to do better as this is not who works here. I somehow created that specific environment for whatever reason and I need to fix it. That’s on me, and trust me that will be fixed ASAP. But I did want to mention the whole “why do you end breakfast”. Sure this review we should have made them breakfast. That’s unacceptable, but on a busy day we make over 1,000 sandwiches. Maybe 1,500 on a Saturday. On 1 food line in the kitchen. We don’t have room to serve breakfast and lunch. You have to “flip” the line. So in the morning it’s breakfast and then come lunch time you convert it over to lunch. That’s everywhere. That’s why people stop serving breakfast and only serve lunch. We are not doing it to just ruin your day. Well we def did here as we were slow but seriously, there is a true reason people stop breakfast to serve lunch. Imagine our shop on a busy Saturday, it’s absolute chaos and when fully staffed our policy is under 10 minutes. To make that happen we have to be efficient. So that’s why we end breakfast. But this review, it’s crushed me as that is not how I want someone to experience The Co Op. and that’s on me, and me only. I have to be better at my job and honestly I’m not doing a great job right now if someone had this experience. I apologized to this family but giving you all a heads up that this is not acceptable and I’ll do better. We want every single person to have the best time. Every time. This is on me. 🦩
