If you want to know what’s happening in our region, you have to be willing to show up and be part of the conversation.

Today, I had the opportunity to attend the 2026 WCIP Regional Summit, and I’m walking away with new information, new connections and plenty to think about.

As a Chamber Director, I don’t have to have every answer. But I do believe in asking the questions, listening, learning and making connections that can help our business community and our county.

There is a lot happening across West Central Indiana, and it matters that Sullivan County has a seat at the table and a voice in the conversation.

That’s a big part of what I love about Chamber work. Showing up, connecting the dots and bringing what I learn back home.

Grateful for the conversations today and for the people working together to move our region forward. 💙

☕️ Before the coffee kicks in, here’s a Monday morning thought…

What exactly does a Chamber of Commerce do?

Well, it’s a lot more than ribbons, events, and networking. 😉 Although…we DO have a ribbon cutting this week on Friday at 2:00 at Auto Exchange all are welcome! ✂️🎀 And you better believe we’re excited to celebrate a local business!

But beyond the events you see, a big part of my role is listening, connecting, asking questions, advocating for our business community, and helping our members find the resources and relationships they need to move forward.

Some days that means sitting in a meeting and representing Sullivan County’s business community. Some days it’s connecting a business with a resource. Other days it’s answering questions, making introductions, working with regional partners, or simply listening to what our businesses are experiencing.

And then there are the days when the to-do list has a mind of its own. 😂

The Chamber is a connector, advocate, resource, and voice for the business community—and that work happens every day, even when it isn’t something you see on social media.

So, coffee in hand ☕️, calendar open, and ready for whatever conversations, connections, challenges, and opportunities this week brings.

Listen. Connect. Advocate. Support. Move forward.

☕️ Friday coffee thoughts from the Chamber office…

There’s something about that first cup of coffee on a Friday morning that makes you pause and think about the week.

This work is busy. Some days are planned, some days absolutely are not. 😂 There are meetings, phone calls, emails, questions to answer, problems to help solve, connections to make, and sometimes just a whole lot of figuring things out as you go.

But at the end of the week, I’m reminded why I love what I do.

It’s about people. It’s about businesses. It’s about making connections, opening doors, asking questions, sharing information, and helping our community keep moving forward.

Not every win is big or visible. Sometimes it’s simply connecting the right two people or helping someone find the resource they needed.

So, with coffee in hand… ☕️ here’s to another week of showing up, doing the work, making connections, and moving Sullivan County forward.

☕️ Chamber work doesn’t stop just because I’m working remotely!

Sometimes the Chamber office may be quiet, but that doesn’t mean the work is. 💻

Even when working remotely, there are emails to answer, calls and connections to make, questions to research, resources to find, meetings to attend, and relationships to continue building.

A big part of what I do is connect the dots—between businesses, community partners, regional organizations, resources, and opportunities. And thankfully, a lot of that work can happen from just about anywhere!

The location of my laptop may change, but the mission stays the same: supporting our business community, advocating for Sullivan County, building connections, and helping move our community forward. ❤️

So if you see me working from the kitchen table, a coffee shop, or somewhere in between…just know the Chamber is still working! 😉

We keep showing up. We keep making connections. And we keep moving Sullivan County forward.
