Ashville Viking Festival is full of wonder! In between churning out our famous Honey Kettle Corn and making the best ever Lemon Shake Ups, we got to see a guy swallowing flames and swords, while we were eating some amazing steam churned ice-cream. We spoke to a couple of Knights who were preparing for battle, and we were entertained by the opportunity for people watching some amazingly creative individuals. Ongoing Sunday from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Bring some Food Pantry items to donate and enjoy a sunny afternoon browsing the Viking era crafts, mixed in with some hippie style clothing and crafts while listening to jokes and music, and watching guys jousting. What an amazing day at the Festival today. So far we are on track to once again beat our donations to the Food Pantry. They are thrilled, let's do it again tomorrow shall we?
The weather was fine, just enough clouds for shade, and a lovely breeze.
The New D.O.R.A. went well, and all I spoke to had good things to say.
Sunday 10 to 5. Vendors have outdone themselves, the entertainment is great.
Reenactor area is a joy.
One more day this year to come and enjoy. We hope you don't miss it!!!
