Behind every small business is a story, and today we're asking our Sundries family to show some extra love to Boardwalk Snacks! 🫶

Founded in November 2025, Boardwalk Snacks was inspired by founder Joe Sancken's childhood memories of sunrise bike rides along the Virginia Beach Oceanfront with his dad, sharing a cold soda and a bag of peanuts. 🌅🥜 Those special moments inspired a business built around family, nostalgia, and delicious flavors!

🥜 From 31st Street Honey Roasted 🍯 to 24th Street Zesty Garlic 🧄, there's a flavor for every peanut lover!

❤️ Now, here's how we can make a difference.

Jessie, the primary person behind Boardwalk Snacks, recently shared that he's been diagnosed with oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, a cancer at the base of his tongue. He believes it was caught in time to treat and is preparing for the next steps in his treatment.

Right now, his business is an important source of income, and the pain he's experiencing has made working difficult.

Jessie isn't asking for donations or handouts. He's simply asking people to try his peanuts and purchase them if they enjoy them. ❤️
