AJ’s Downtown Dogs

Well, most of the front of the house has been sold.

Sad day. ☹️

We have equipment and restaurant supplies for sale. Call or Text AJ’s at +1 (757) 798-4687 and we will let you know a good time tomorrow to come by the shop or send you the latest inventory.

We also have a food truck and hotdog carts for sale if anyone has any leads for us!

Neighbors, we need your help! 🌭❤️

Wouldn’t it be pretty darn cool if AJ’s Downtown Dogs won an award based on your experience with us last Saturday?

We think so too. 🥹

If AJ’s made you smile, filled your belly, introduced you to a new favorite dog, or made your day a little more fun, we’d love your vote.

We’ve poured a whole lot of love into AJ’s, and ending this chapter with an award chosen by our community would be one heck of a way to go out.

Please take a minute and vote for AJ’s Downtown Dogs!

We aren’t open downtown again, but keep an eye out for us around town. You never know where AJ’s might pop up next. 🌭

Thank you, Neighbors. Seriously. ❤️

Love at First Bite. Love at Last Bite. ❤️

What started as AJ’s Downtown Dogs became so much more than a little hot dog restaurant.

You showed up. You brought your families. You told your friends. You became our Neighbors. And in 2026, you voted us Best Hot Dog in Suffolk. 🏆🌭

As we serve our last bites as Downtown Dogs, we’re incredibly grateful for every order, every laugh, every event, and every person who became part of this crazy little dream.

But this isn’t goodbye to AJ’s.

Downtown Dogs may be going away.
AJ’s isn’t.

We’re taking everything you loved with us — the food, the fun, the family, and the belief that a restaurant can be about much more than what’s on the plate.

So come have one more bite with us today at Taste of Suffolk.

And then… stay tuned.

Because AJ’s story is just getting started. ❤️

Good Food. Great Neighbors. A Brighter Tomorrow.

A quick update from AJ’s Downtown Dogs ❤️

We originally planned to follow our normal holiday schedule this weekend, but after looking at staffing and giving our team time to recover and recharge, we’ve decided to extend our closure.

AJ’s Downtown Dogs will be closed:
Friday, May 22 – Monday, May 25

We’ll reopen Tuesday, May 26 ready to serve you!

Thank you for supporting our small business and understanding that sometimes the best decision is to pause, take care of our people, and come back stronger.

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we also pause to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.

See you Tuesday ❤️🤍
