Check out this awesome article about one of our own! Donny’s and Door County’s very own Genevieve Heyward is about to take American Idol by storm, kicking off this Monday.

When we reopened during Covid in 2020, while many people were understandably hesitant to return to work, this motivated 20-year-old walked in ready to work and build her future. We knew then she was something special.

She has the drive, heart, and talent to go all the way and we couldn’t be more proud to support her. Tune in Monday and cheer on one of our own!

When "American Idol" premieres Jan. 26 on ABC, viewers will get to see Genevieve Heyward, a singer whose musical roots run deep through Door County.
