Independence Day Holiday Weekend Notice:

In observance of the Independence Day holiday, all metered parking within the Borough of Stroudsburg is free today, Friday, July 3, and tomorrow, Saturday, July 4.

Please note that all other parking regulations remain in effect, including permit parking, no-parking zones, fire lanes, accessible parking restrictions, and all other applicable regulations.

We encourage everyone to join us in Downtown Stroudsburg for the annual Independence Day Parade, which steps off at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 4. Come out and celebrate our nation's independence while supporting the many community organizations, performers, and volunteers who make this possible.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution, plan accordingly, and expect traffic congestion on Main Street and throughout the downtown area, including travel toward East Stroudsburg. Please consider using alternate routes where possible and allow extra travel time due to parade-related road closures and traffic.

Get ready to wave those flags and wear your red, white, and blue! This year, we aren’t just celebrating the 4th of July, we are celebrating America’s 250th Birthday, and we’re doing it up big! ❤️🤍💙

Bring your family, your friends, and your festive spirit to the Monroe County Independence Day Parade! It’s going to be an epic, historic march through downtown Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg that you absolutely won't want to miss. 🎆🦅

Parade Highlights You’ll Love:
🐴 Miniature horses
🇺🇸 Patriotic floats from local communities and organizations
🏛️ Historical patriots, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Betsy Ross, and more
🚒 One of America’s oldest steam fire engines: the Stroudsburg Fire Department’s 1871 Steam Pumper and the newest fire engines from local fire companies
🥁 Marching bands from Stroudsburg High School and East Stroudsburg South High School and Celtic Pipe and Drum Corps
🗝️ Grand Marshal Pam Depuy, 7th great-granddaughter of Nicholas Depuy, the first European settler at Shawnee-on-the-Delaware in 1727

The Route & Details:
📍 Starts at: Stroudsburg High School and travels down Main Street through downtown Stroudsburg, turns at Kane & McConnell Street, crosses the bridge into East Stroudsburg, heads up Washington Street, and wraps up at Dansbury Park!

💡 Pro-Tip: Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to score the best viewing spot along the route!
