This win represents something much bigger than a competition.

Our journey through Panama has taken us beyond the familiar coffee regions and deep into La Comarca, home of the Ngäbe-Buglé people, a community with generations of knowledge, tradition, and connection to these mountains.

Each year, we travel back to this community and purchase their entire coffee harvest for the year. It’s a relationship that has grown far beyond sourcing coffee.

Through the relationships we’ve built in Panama, we’ve seen firsthand how deeply the future of specialty coffee is connected to the people who cultivate it. Recognition on the competition stage creates an opportunity to bring more attention back to these communities, their work, and the incredible coffees they’re capable of producing.
