We use real quality cheese. That’s why our pizza is good the next day. The Pony Express Pizza Shop, owned solely by Jim Leone Sr. in 2011, has been a household name in Stow since 1978. The secret to their success and longevity has been to provide quality service and food at a fair price. The employees strive to satisfy their loyal customers whether it is for delivery or carry-out. And, the non-fra
nchise, privately owned restaurant has been at the same location since 1978. Jim is proud, just as his previous partners were, to mention that the same sauce, fresh dough, and cheese are still being used in their pizza since the beginning. The sauce and dough recipes come directly from Italy! In addition to the homemade pizza, the restaurant offers a full menu. This includes it’s widely known broasted chicken, jojo’s, salads, subs and Buffalo wings with amazing sauces. As with the pizza ingredients, the chicken has been freshly packed and delivered to our store by the same vendor for over 30 years! Jim has always been quick to give the credit to the employees for the success of the restaurant. It has been a common theme to have employees with 10, 15, even 20+ years of service. It has provided people the knowledge and fundamentals of business, or a stepping stone to finish a degree. Some previous employees are now doctors, firefighters, nurses, teachers, computer programmers, and business owners. Stow has been a great community to have a business and family. Jim has watched as the city has grown over the years and continues to do so. He gives back in such ways as sponsoring youth sports teams and donations to various organizations. The restaurant is proud to have been involved, along with others, the City of Stow, Friends of Education, YMCA, Stow-Munroe Falls Booster Club, and Fire & Police.
