UConn Dairy Bar Treat yourself to a famous UConn tradition by trying some of our homemade ice cream!

The UConn Dairy Bar opened in 1953 to sell dairy products that were made by the UConn Creamery. The Creamery was established in the early 1900s and bottled milk all the way up until 1991. Today, the Creamery makes ice cream according to its original recipe and sells it through the Dairy Bar retail establishment. The Dairy Bar also sells UConn eggs, artisnal cheese, and other frozen treats such as

ice cream cookie sandwiches.

The milkshake of the month is our Purple Cow - Black Raspberry ice cream blended with Oreo pieces, Hershey’s syrup drizzle lining the cup, topped with whipped cream and Oreo pieces.

Hours: Open Wed/Thurs this week from 11am-7pm; starting this Friday, June 5th, we'll be open 11am-9pm for the rest of the summer.

Take a break from the books and head to Dairy Bar for the Finals Fuel Shake! Coffee Espresso Crunch ice cream blended with rich coffee and espresso syrup, topped with whipped cream, a drizzle of Hershey’s syrup, and finished with blue and white sprinkles.
