To All Our Valued Customers, Friends, and Community,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of China House. This has been a difficult and emotional decision for us, but health has decided to move us forward into the next chapter of our lives. What opened as a little 80 seat restaurant in pursuit of a young couple’s American dream, grew into a place that welcomed thousands of guests and employed hundreds of people over the next 30 years. We would like to thank you all:
To our guests, if we could have it our way, we would have served you for 30 more years. You trusted us with your most precious moments from birthday celebrations to prom dinners, rehearsal wedding dinners, anniversaries, births, work promotions and other memorable celebrations. From our regulars, who we could always remember by order but not always by name to the guests who came by anytime they were in town, to all of you who kept us afloat through the pandemic – we are forever grateful for your patronage.
To our past and present employees, your hard-work and devotion to meet our expectations and your pride in this restaurant is unforgettable. The camaraderie built here gave us a second family. Mai and Cody, words can never describe the love and appreciation we have for you both and the many loyal years you gave us.
Lastly, we could not have done any of it without THIS specific community. This community that welcomed us with opened arms, helped us raise our three daughters, that involved us in various committees, events, & activities, this community that has always shown us that we belonged right here in the City Beautiful.
