Rockingham County Deputies Seize Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Firearm During Eden Search

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, a firearm and U.S. currency during the ex*****on of a narcotics search warrant Thursday, Aug. 13, at a residence on Riverside Circle in Eden.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the search warrant at 791 Riverside Circle followed a thorough investigation by the agency’s Narcotics Division. The warrant was executed by narcotics detectives, criminal detectives and the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, with assistance from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.
The search resulted in the seizure of a firearm, methamphetamine, fentanyl and U.S. currency. Six people were arrested or taken into custody in connection with the investigation.
Travis Shane Bowles was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was given a $45,000 secured bond.
Matthew Alan Earls was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was ordered held without bond.
Ariell Christian Yeatts was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance. Yeatts was ordered held without bond.
George Avery Boyd was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and was given a $6,000 secured bond.
Cassidy Lynn Collins was taken into custody on a fugitive warrant out of Virginia. Collins was given a $100,000 secured bond.
Charles Earls, for whom the Sheriff’s Office did not have a photograph available, was charged with possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer.
The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said its goal is to protect residents and continue removing illegal drugs from local communities.
