**Our hearts are broken.**

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Gavin O'Donoghue, who died unexpectedly on the morning of October 3.

Gavin was the husband of Maddie, our phenomenal social media director and cherished member of Mike and Kat's Other Place.

Maddie is part of our family, and we love her and the boys more than we can say. In the midst of unimaginable grief, they are facing the financial realities of such a sudden loss.

We are helping to raise funds to help cover funeral expenses and the many unforeseen costs ahead, so Maddie can have the space to grieve and care for her boys without carrying that weight too.

Tomorrow is a BIG day in Stillwater!

Not only is the Rivertown Fall Art Festival starting downtown, but we’re hosting a little community event of our own right here at Mike & Kat’s Other Place. 🤎

Stop by from 8 AM–Noon for fresh-baked treats from Sarah Millfelt (seriously… check our Stories if you need convincing 🤤), plus some incredibly talented local makers:

🍎☕ Coming to Stillwater for Rivertown Fall Art Festival this weekend? Make a stop up on the North Hill.

The 49th Annual Rivertown Fall Art Festival is happening October 3–4, bringing thousands of visitors to historic Stillwater for a weekend of art, makers and fall along the St. Croix River.

And while you’re in town, head up to Mike & Kat’s Other Place for a little more local goodness.

Apparently, someone put apple pie in a latte.

We’re investigating. 👀🍎🥧

According to several extremely reliable sources, it’s warm, cozy, perfectly spiced, and tastes suspiciously like fall in a cup.

And because Mike apparently doesn’t believe in taking shortcuts, he made the apple pie syrup completely from scratch. 🍎

After a thorough investigation, the rumors have been confirmed:

The Apple Pie Latte has officially arrived. 🍎☕

Made with Mike’s house-made apple pie syrup and available hot or iced at Mike & Kat’s Other Place.

Consider this your sign to come try the newest addition to our fall lineup.

And yes , it really is that good.

It's just such a great day for some really good coffee and really good waffles, and we have added a new autumn latte special, and no it's NOT a pumpkin spice latte, it's an Apple Pie Latte with our own homemade syrup. Come and get it!

We had such a good time with Roxy’s Waffles last time that naturally, we had to do it again.
