AITA for showering too late?

my sister (23F) who is on the spectrum and kind of has sensory issues lives with me (21M) at my dad's house, i am also on the spectrum but don't have as many sensory issues as her. She just recently got a job and now has to wake up early more often.

The issue is that I like to shower/bathe every day. I’m a bit of a clean freak, and I dislike going to bed without showering in the evening. The problem is, if I shower past 9 PM, my sister gets extremely mad because it wakes her up or prevents her from falling asleep. I try to be as quiet as possible, but it's no use.

I try to be considerate and shower before her bedtime but I'm very forgetful so ometimes I forget to shower earlier, and other times I don’t even get home until late, so my only option is to shower at night. She gets really upset about it, to the point where it bothers my dad too, but he refuses to pick a side on who’s right.

AITA for telling my daughter she had to break up with her boyfriend or move out after finding out his real age?

I (42f) have a husband (39m) and a daughter who just turned 19. She’s always been strong-willed and independent, but stubborn as all hell. When she was little she wanted to do everything herself, argued about bedtime, could throw huge fits over nothing. As a teen it got worse, she was sneaking out, lying about where she was, refusing curfew, ignoring rules. My husband usually ended up stuck in the middle trying to calm both of us down. Sometimes we went hours without talking. Even with all that, she has a softer side and we’ve always tried to work with her.

She had a manipulative boyfriend when she was younger. She was 16, he was 19. Legally we couldn’t stop them, so there wasn’t much we could do, but we forbade him from coming in the house. He was controlling, jealous, isolating her from friends, pressuring her into things she wasn’t comfortable with.

AITA for Refusing to Lend My Sister More Money Until She Pays Back What She Owes Me?

I (32F) am still so frustrated over this, and honestly, I need some outside perspective. Five years ago, my sister (30F) got married and was struggling financially at the time. I stepped in to help and ended up covering a big chunk of her wedding costs — the venue deposit, catering, and decorations. We agreed she’d pay me back once she got on her feet, and I trusted her.

But every time I brought it up over the years, she’d brush it off with things like, “Don’t worry about it,” or “You were such a big help, just think of it as my gift from you!” I didn’t want to start family drama, so I let it slide… but it’s always bothered me.

Fast forward to last week she calls asking if I can help her with a down payment for a new house. The amount she needs? Pretty much the same as what she still owes me.

I told her I’d be willing to help, but only after she pays me back for the wedding first. She got defensive immediately, saying it’s been “so long” and that I’m being unfair for holding it over her head....

AITA for not letting my 1-year-old step-niece into my room and for pulling her high chair away from the table?

I (21NB) live with my mom and stepfather. My room is messy, largely because I lack proper storage for my books and belongings. I also keep my door open for my cat, Boris, as his food, water, and litter box are in my room.

The issue is my stepsister’s visits with her 1-year-old daughter, Allie (fake name). Allie loves Boris, but he is clearly uncomfortable with her loud, eager approaches and always runs away. Since he retreats to my room, she follows him in there. Allie touches everything, grabbing trinkets, going for my plushies (many are expensive, limited edition, or deeply sentimental), and risking damage to my school laptop or textbooks. I’m worried she’ll break something or choke.

I’ve repeatedly told my family I don’t want Allie in my room. My mom dismisses me, saying I should just clean my room, which is difficult without proper storage. There’s hypocrisy, too; she warns me to keep Allie away from Boris’ blankets due to cat hair, but has no issue with her rolling on my fur-covered bed.

AITAH for refusing to take down a “bad” review for a small business?

Recently my friends and I went to a local art studio/co-op that offers group lessons. We were there for a ceramics class. The vibe I got was that the studio charges a premium for the classes and it’s mainly it’s a way to keep the lights on for the business.

The lesson went great, our instructor was really helpful, and we all had a great time making our items.

Then we got to the end and it was time to clean up. We fully expected to help out and wipe down our stations and clean our tools. We didn’t expect to be mopping the floors (which were already covered in clay when we came in) and wiping down stations that our group hadn’t touched. The instructor’s version of “helping” was to walk around and hand us a sponge or mop and pointing out spots we missed.

After we picked up our pieces a few weeks later I posted a review that I thought was honest and fair. I said we’d had so much fun, that our instructor was great, but that I probably wouldn’t be back based on the level of cleaning we’d been asked to do,...

MIL finds out that after my operation I asked for birth control

Little backstory: a week ago i had an operation, pregancy outside the utoris. I am still on bed rest and the docter adviced and extra week.

Ok so, after my operation I was alone in the room and the doctor came to me to ask if I wanted birthcontrol and if yes what kind of birth control. So i asked for a little iron thing in my arm. Since I already used the pill and I got pregnant through it and the rest gave me pain so this was the last option.

So yesterday I got a s__t storm over me because she found out. Not through SO or me but through my mother. Shes bad at keeping secrets.
