Every dish is crafted with the finest ingredients, ensuring each meal is both delicious and nourishing. The pre-1900 era Smith & Barney railroad sleeper car that comprises the oldest part of the Silver Coach was purchased in the 1930's after the end of Prohibition by John and Fred Bablitch, moved to its present site in the 1940's to Stevens Point, Wisconsin and was converted into a distinctive res

taurant / bar featuring original stained glass and curved wood panelling with inlaid designs. In 1955, the late Charles "Pete" Redfield, who was the owner at the time, added a dining room and began serving Cantonese food. Jim Gitter purchased the Silver Coach in 1987. Through his years as owner, the interior and exterior of its railroad car appearance were restored. Chef Rob Tuszka, who had been the executive chef at Stevens Point Country Club, and his wife, Brenda, purchased The Silver Coach in 2001. Chef Rob continues the tradition of unique, made-from-scratch flavors that the Silver Coach has become so well-known for. The restaurant has seating for 70 and for those wishing a romantic dinner, also offers private dining rooms for two. At Silver Coach we offer an atmosphere and dining experience unlike any other in the Central Wisconsin area. We use only the finest ingredients in all of our dishes to ensure that every meal we serve is delicious and nutritious.
