Market, Mammos & Mocktails with the CGH Health Foundation

Too often, women put themselves last. Busy schedules, work, family, and caregiving responsibilities can make it easy to postpone important health screenings. But delaying a mammogram could mean missing the opportunity to detect breast cancer early, when treatment is most effective. About 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime, yet when found early, the five-year survival rate is greater than 99% for breast cancer that has not spread.

This October, CGH is making it a little easier - and more fun - to put your health first! Join us for Market, Mammos & Mocktails at the Twin Cities Farmers Market (106 Avenue A, Sterling) on Saturdays, October 3 and 10, from 8 a.m. to noon. Enjoy mocktails and refreshments, including samples from participating vendors, while learning about early detection and other women’s health topics. You’ll also have the opportunity to register for your annual no-cost mammogram.

At CGH, we understand the importance of routine mammograms. That’s why, through a partnership between the CGH Health Foundation and CGH Women’s Imaging Center, we provide no-cost screening mammograms to all area women. From 3D mammography and diagnostic breast imaging to ultrasound, biopsies and personalized support from experienced providers and nurse navigators, you’ll find advanced technology and compassionate people who are here for you every step of the way.

Make a promise to yourself and invite someone you love to do the same. Call your sister. Text your best friend. Ask your mom, daughter, aunt, neighbor, or coworker to join you. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give one another is encouragement to take care of our health.

Call 815-625-3610 to schedule your no-cost mammogram today. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or call ahead for a regular or same-day appointment.
