Join us SATURDAY for the start of ROOTS TO RESILIENCE, a new monthly series on MENTAL HEALTH for Muslims in the West 🧠🩺

Our inaugural session is led by ABDELWAHAB ELSIRAG AND SOHAIRA SULTAN and explores an intro to Mental Health & Its Importance in Islam, followed by guided discussion and Q&A. 🤲

This collaboration between ADAMS Sully, ADAMS Wellness & Qahwa, aims to create a faith-centered space to talk openly about mental health, common struggles, and practical tools for healing and resilience. 🤍

🕸️ Led by Ust. Omar Popal of Tanwir Institute and Omar Farooq, we will SPIDER-MAN, one of the most famous and heroic characters in fiction, as an example of the sacred and vital mission of serving others in Islam.

🤲 Intended for to adults and teens ages 13+, we will discuss the immense bounty one when they seek no earthly reward for helping others and how those who serve, like Spider-Man, often experience challenges when sacrificing their time and relationships for the greater community.

❤️ Above all, we will look at the responsibility each of us individually carries in being a hero to those who need us.

🎬 Following the event will be a screening of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, highlighting several topics discussed in the talk.

🍉 Join us SUNDAY as we host visiting speaker Imam Anwar Arafat for an evening that moves between memory and materiality as he discusses his own personal experiences growing up in Gaza, the region’s last 100 years of history, and frequent misconceptions and areas of debate surrounding the strip.
