HEY FLASH READERS, IT'S TIME TO MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS!!!
The Flash Today's David Swearingen would like you to "Meet Your Neighbor" - Drew Roberson.
"All human beings are my neighbors. We share the same planet." - Ana Monnar.

Drew was born in Lubbock on June 21, 1968. His parents both attended Texas Tech University. Drew moved to Stephenville with his family at the age of twelve. Drew was already familiar with Stephenville because he came to visit his grandparents, Ruth and Charles Neblett, every summer prior to moving to Stephenville. Drew is the son of James Roberson and Susan Gay Dorsett. He has a brother, Don, of Rock Hill, SC.
Drew graduated from Stephenville High School in 1986. He played both basketball and baseball while attending SHS. Drew went on to graduate from Texas Tech in Lubbock. He remains active in the Texas Tech Ex-Students Association.
Drew has two sons, Ryan and Reid. Reid lives in Garland. Sadly, Ryan James Roberson passed away at the young age of 20 from a form of cancer known as ewing sarcoma. Ryan played baseball at Rockwall-Heath High School and went on to pitch at New Mexico Junior College.
To honor the memory of Ryan and to raise money for childhood cancer research, Drew is a huge promoter of "Fields of Gold" wine. Ryan's favorite movie was "Field of Dreams" so Drew decided to call the wine, Fields of Gold. Area residents can find Fields of Gold wine in a variety of locations in the area including area restaurants and retail outlets. One dollar from each bottle sold goes to the Little Warrior Foundation which has the goal of finding a cure for pediatric sarcoma. The logo on the wine bottle was designed by Stephenville artist, Stephanie Beach. The logo is shaped like a baseball home plate and also has sunflowers and shows Ryan throwing a pitch.
Drew has worked in the wine industry for over 30 years. He currently serves as a national account manager for Summerland Wine Brands. He is also a co-owner of Everything Shredded and the owner of Coconut Hut Sno Cones. Every July, Coconut Hut donates all the proceeds from a chosen day to the SHS Heart of Gold Game. Drew wanted to let Flash readers know about a new business he will be opening this fall called Daiquiriville next to the city park on Graham Street.
Drew is a member of the Evening Lions Club of Stephenville. He enjoys taking educational wine classes when he can find the time. He enjoys traveling and he has already been to Argentina, Australia, Chile, Portugal, and France. He has been to California numerous times. He is a huge sports fan and he enjoys watching Stephenville sports, Texas Tech, Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.
Drew's favorite quote comes from Bobby Bowden, "I learned more from the mistakes than from the good things."
He enjoys listening to 1980's music and some of his favorites are Def Leppard, Foreigner, and George Strait. His favorite bible verse is Romans 12:12, which reads, "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."

Drew, Stephenville is proud to call you one of our very own!
