Great news everyone! I will now be hosting Trivia Night at Fiddler’s Restaurant every Thursday at 7 pm starting this upcoming Thursday! So come on out and bring your friends and family and get ready for some fun, prizes, music, drinks and great food! Also, I will be donating a portion of the proceeds every week to the local Sower of the Seed Food Pantry!

We got a whole weekend of slingin’ the h***y tonk goodness comin’ right up for y’all starting tomorrow night! Thursday we’re branchin’ out a little bit and doing a trio set at Tavern Ribs & Rolls in Lake City from 7:00-10:00, Friday night we’re bustin’ down the doors at Low-Key Hideaway and Tiki Bar in Cedar Key 6:30-9:30, and Saturday night we’ll be takin’ over the tiki terrace at our nature coast HQFiddler's Restaurant And Resort in Steinhatchee 7:00-10:00. Plenty of chances to come get y’er fix of twangy tunes, and awesome food and drinks. If you’re having trouble finding any venue we’re at, just get within a mile or so and you should be able to hear us.Then, just follow the trail of burnt rubber and Levi Garrett pouches. Hope to see y’all out!

TAMPA BAY MUSIC COMMUNITY RALLIES TO SUPPORT DAMON FOWLER DURING HEALTH CRISIS

Fans and fellow musicians are coming together to help acclaimed Tampa Bay blues guitarist, singer and songwriter Damon Fowler as he faces a serious health setback that has temporarily sidelined his performing career.

Fowler, a longtime favorite of Florida's music scene whose talent has taken him to stages across the country and internationally, is facing an extended recovery that includes the prospect of additional surgery. According to a recently launched GoFundMe campaign, his doctors must approve the next procedure before he can continue working toward a return to touring and performing.

The health challenges have also resulted in a significant loss of income, adding financial pressure to mounting medical expenses and everyday family needs.

"Damon Fowler is a true Florida treasure," the fundraiser states, recognizing the many years he has spent entertaining audiences and sharing his music.

Organized by Karen Cooper on Fowler's behalf, the GoFundMe campaign has established a $25,000 fundraising goal to help cover medical expenses and support his family while he is unable to work.

For years, Fowler has been an important part of the Tampa Bay and Florida blues community, earning the respect and admiration of fans and fellow musicians alike.

Now it's our turn to give something back.

Tampa Bay Music News encourages our readers, musicians and the entire Tampa Bay music community to rally behind Damon. Whether through a donation, sharing the fundraiser or sending words of encouragement, every gesture of support can make a difference.
