Steamboat locals 👋

We’re looking for a little community help. We’re working on setting up late-night food service downtown during events and busy nights, but because food trucks aren’t allowed on city property, we need to operate on private property.

Unfortunately, we had a great spot lined up, but the property is now under contract and no longer an option — so we’re a bit last-minute trying to find other viable downtown locations near the bars that stay open late.

We’re open to:
• Private parking lots
• Vacant or underused spaces
• Any privately owned property where the owner is open to short-term food truck use

We also want to mention that we’re now a fully off-grid mobile kitchen — no generators, no extension cords, and no external power hookups. Everything is quiet and self-contained. Our setup runs on solar panels with a battery and inverter system, making it a sustainable, low-impact option and a great addition to the community.

If you’re a property owner, know a property owner, or have any leads or ideas, we’d be incredibly grateful.

We are so thankful and appreciate all the nominations, votes, and support we get from our community and visitors who we have served. We started The Spudd Hutt at the end of 2020 during the pandemic and unsure what the future holds. We took a chance as a family to serve food that was cooked fresh on the spot with ingredients that are cruelty free. We feel honored to bring vegan options to Steamboat community and show that food doesn’t have to compromise compassion for animals. With the continued support we are happy to announce we are growing The Spudd Hutt. We get messages, calls, and emails all the time asking if we will have a permanent space in Steamboat to bring more vegan options and we are excited to say that we are working really hard to make this dream come true.

After a busy winter season we are happy to announce we are back at it this summer!

Couple of updates:
-We are running limited tent service until our new food trailer build is complete.
Updates will be on our Facebook/Instagram with dates we will be running services open to public. We will have some private events that are not open to public.
-We will be all year round once new food trailer is completed.
-Also considering some brick & mortar locations as we look at real estate in Steamboat and Hayden.
