Daddy Mack's Grub Shack Gourmet Smash Burgers! Often Imitated, NEVER Duplicated! It all started in 1989 with the Original Daddy Mack and the Grub Wagon.

The Grub Wagon was ahead of it's time as a premier concession operation that targeted large events and State Fair sized attendances. The Grub Wagon was started by Edward Mack Hammer as a dream turned into a working concept. It was basically a mobile sit down restaurant wherever it went. The western style food included BBQ of all kinds, Ribs, Chicken and Prime Rib just to name a few. The biggest thing about the Grub Wagon was that you could order anything as a full meal and feed your entire family! The Grub Wagon offered you and your family a unique option without the greasy fair or fast food choices. Daddy Mack's Grub Shack is bringing back that Grub Wagon concept on a smaller more mobile scale! In 2023 the Hammer family will once again be back bringing quality Western American foods and meal options to your family. Daddy Mack's Grub Shack will be centrally located in Charlottesville Virginia starting in April of 2023. We will be bringing Daddy Mack's Grub Shack out as well to festivals and events throughout Virginia this summer. We look forward to seeing you all very soon!

Tomorrow all you Queen City Mischief & Magic travelers stop by Redbeard Brewing Company and grab a slice of pizza or take a whole one for the family! We will be set up in the garden area 12:00-5:00 or until we sell out!

Unfortunately a tire has let the air out of us this evening! We will not be able to make it to Bluestone Vineyard for Toast the Weekend. We are trying to get the tire fixed for the rest of the weekend! We apologize to everyone!!

We haven’t been posting our schedule lately and we apologize! We are still fighting our bottomless money pit of a tow truck. Without it everything has come to a screeching halt unless we find an alternative tow vehicle to borrow or get help from our great friends. We do have an alternative plan for the end of this week!
So our schedule is:
Thursday: Realtor Ruckus @ The red barn (this is a ticketed event for 2 great causes! 5-8pm

Friday: Toast of the Weekend Bluestone Vineyard 6:30-9:30pm

Saturday: Great Valley Farm Brewery and Winery w/ Late Night Stumblers 12pm-7:30pm

Sunday: Pizza Shack will be at Redbeard Brewing Company 12pm-4:00pm
It’s been a rough couple months and we miss you all!! So come see us this weekend and let us feed your burger craving!
