To our Blend n' Brew family,

Over the past few days, many of you have reached out with encouraging words, prayers, and unwavering support. We are truly humbled and grateful.

We are aware of a video circulating on social media. While it is tempting to respond to negativity with more negativity, that is not who we are. At Blend n' Brew, we choose to lead with integrity, kindness, and truth.

Many of you know that as a Professor and Associate Dean, the past week I’ve focused on preparing our students and children for success in the classroom. I did not anticipate also preparing a statement in response to malicious attacks. As I do so, God reminded me, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:21

We remain committed to serving our community with excellence, treating every customer with respect, and creating a welcoming space for coffee, conversation, and connection. We believe that our character, our service, and the relationships we have built will always speak louder than misinformation. To everyone who has defended us, shared your positive experiences, prayed for us, and continued to walk through our doors, thank you.
Your encouragement means more than words can express. You have reminded us that there is still so much good in our community.
With regard to the false statements, if you’ve been a resident of Statesboro for more than 10 years, you know that the referenced coffee shop resides in the space that used to be the FAB Lab developed by Georgia Southern University BIG, which has supported small businesses in the surrounding communities. The columns throughout the building preceded Blend n’ Brew by 10 years. We simply lease the building. Unfortunately, residents of Statesboro have observed these columns for the past decade, and yet they only became problematic when we moved into the space.

For those who are truly interested in ownership of Blend n' Brew, the Georgia Secretary of State publishes this information publicly. It’s a far better resource than a social media video. Concerning funding, we are proud to share that after working full-time in our 20s, two sisters put their savings together to invest in the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority.
We hope this is a model for other young girls and women in Georgia. Entrepreneurship is possible when you place it in God’s hands. We are grateful to Small Business Assistance Corporation, Merchants Association of Downtown Statesboro, and Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce for supporting a small family and woman-owned business.

We are also grateful for the financial support from customers such as SE Thomson, we hope you all enjoyed your lattes and pastries. We are quite fond of the coffee cake as well 😊.
We ask that everyone continue to respond with grace and respect. We are placing this situation in God's hands, trusting that He will continue to guide our business and strengthen our community.

Thank You for Brunch & Bibles — What a Morning at 62 E Main

To everyone who came out for Brunch & Bibles at Blend n Brew — thank you!

Yesterday morning our café on East Main was full in the best way. Full tables, full coffee cups, full hearts. We saw regulars and new faces, along with Statesboro neighbors, all gathered around brunch and the Word together.

We started Blend n Brew to be more than coffee — to be a place where downtown can slow down, gather, and be encouraged. Yesterday was exactly that.

Thank you for waking up early, for bringing a friend, for sharing, praying, and lingering over that second cup.

A special thank you to our guest speakers Evangelist Cherry Davis and Evangelist LaShai Campbell for leading, and to our Blend n' Brew team who prepped, poured, and served with so much joy.
