LOOKING FOR MEMBERS

Good afternoon everybody,

We periodically have questions asked of us about the details of the club. We are also looking for new members as a few is our members have retired from the club for one reason or another over the past couple of years. So, here are the details to join:

$50 to join (annual)
$50 annually to become a member of the TBF (The Bass Federation) which is optional.
$50 optional for club classic (top 6 big money annual tournament if you qualify)
1 meeting per month (Ocean Galley Restaurant 7pm on 1st Tuesday)
11 tournaments a year, 1 each month except for December
$30 tournament fee, $5 big fish, $5 progressive pot (5lb+ fish caught) each tournament.
We are a co-angler club which means we have non-boat owning members who fish in tournaments monthly.
We need boaters but have room for co-anglers as well.
We hold a Kid's Fishing Rodeo each year free to the public and that's part of how we give back to our community. We also do other philanthropic things throughout the year to give back.

If you have any interest in joining, please message us and we can coordinate the next meeting and/or tournament for you to come to and give us a shot!

***UPDATE: We WILL have the kid's fishing rodeo this Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Mill Creek Recreational Park! Registration starts at 7am. We will see y'all there!

Hi everybody, we are meeting tonight to discuss the plans for this weekend. At this time, we are still planning on having the kid's tournament. If plans change, please tune into our page and/or Grice Connect Grice Connect for updates and details. We will share any changes there.

2024 GARY OGLESBY MEMORIAL YOUTH FISHING RODEO
OCTOBER 5, 7AM-12PM, MILL CREEK REGIONAL PARK POND

The Bulloch Bass Club and Statesboro–Bulloch Recreational Dept. would like to invite you to our 2024 GARY OGLESBY MEMORIAL YOUTH FISHING RODEO at the Mill Creek Regional Park Pond on Saturday October 5 between 7AM-12PM.
The tournament is FREE for all children ages 5-15 years.

An adult must accompany all children.
All children must provide their own fishing equipment and bait.

FREE hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided to each child that enters the fishing tournament.

Highlights of the tournament include:
- Tagged Fish worth $50.00 to any young fisherman that catches this year’s tagged fish and $10.00 to any young fisherman catching previous year’s tagged fish
- Tournament Weigh-in where 1st, 2nd & 3rd place Trophies and Rod/Reel Combos are won.
- Prize Drawing for Bicycles
- Every Child in the tournament leaves with a Prize

Well, our first annual Bulloch Bass Club Classic Championship is in the books! To qualify, our top 6 anglers from 2023 had to outlast the rest of the club. They got to choose where and when to fish for a $1,000 pot. Clark's Hill was the lake chosen. Here were the results:

Patrick Brown- 14lb 9.6oz
Sawyer Hunt- 8lb 14.8oz
Jason Wiley- 7lb 13oz
Tim Vaigneur- 3lb 3.8oz
Morrell McCaskill- 2lb 8.4oz
Kirby Waters- 0lb

Big shout out to Patrick Brown, Morrell McCaskill as our boaters and Tim Vaigneur and Dawson Vaughn as our co-anglers at the GBF State Tournament last weekend at Lake Blackshear!

We had a strong showing finishing top half in both categories and Patrick Brown took home the trophy! Out of 44 boaters and 44 Co-anglers:

Boaters:

Morrell McCaskill- 15th

Co-anglers:
Tim Vaigneur- 12th
Dawson Vaughn- 18th

Congratulations to Stephen Turner, Jason Wiley, and Blake Proudfoot as our winners for this year's Bulloch Bass Club raffle!

We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all who purchased tickets!!! We sold 152 tickets this year!! For all who don't know, we use these proceeds to help fund our community projects including the annual Youth Fishing Rodeo. The Youth Fishing Rodeo is FREE to all who come enjoy it every year at Mill Creek Recreation Park in Statesboro. This year's Rodeo will be held on October 14th. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! We hope to see you there!
