Joseph Compitello was born and raised in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn. Many of these dishes influenced him when starting Brooklyn's Finest.

Growing up in the 1960s he was surrounded by Italian eateries and delicatessens, and this is where his love of food began. From home cooked meals to eating at local restaurants he began to appreciate and understand good food. He frequented many local restaurants, and gained an appreciation for their unique home style dishes. What began as a dream, eventually became a reality when he opened in 2011

. With a vast selection of local Brooklyn favorites on the menu, he brought the best of Brooklyn to Staten Island. From panelles, to egg creams, and everything in between all your Brooklyn favorites are here for you to enjoy.
