Here’s a photo dump since I didn’t post for awhile. No particular order. I had to rebuild the dock, harvest and boil peanuts. Welcome a new member to the itty bitty cattle committee, cut down some trees that got Beatles (probably due to drought) and found bees in one them. Wish I had known so I could have left that one alone. We have tried to rehome them to a hive but it’s their choice ultimately.

We have beef quarters available. Each is as equal as possible. Close to 150 lbs each. $12/lb. Cut wrapped and vacuum sealed. I can text you the list of cuts if interested.

Boiling pea nuts

Finishing up the first third of the pea nuts. Boiled all these. Yielded 4.5 gallons not counting what I ate. Just in time for football season!

We have beef shares available. Pasture raised and finished with free access to grain. No hormones or antibiotics. Wrapped and vacuum sealed. We also have another steer finished and ready for processing if someone wants a whole one and control of cut selection. He looks great. PM me for details.

Goose, who seldom barks, alerted Friday night. Didn’t really see s as nothing to cause it until the next morning…. My stag horns fell😢. No real damage though I was able to move them to another limb.

Long day today. Took a steer to processor, picked up feed for the other two, planted 11 rows of peanuts, moved the Juvie herd and separated 6 heifers to take to market tomorrow, had to pick a row of broccoli (in the nick of time), hand watered two riws of onions, gathered eggs, checked on the mamas and babies in the main herd and finally sat down to a mint julep with fresh mint. Goose was with me most of the day. He’s whipped too.
