‼️Long post, but please read ‼️
Some customers may already be aware of this, but Carr’s Family Restaurant will not be re-opening.
Yes, we have known that we would be closing permanently for a couple weeks now, and we had planned our closing day for December 7th. However, we have had to close earlier than we wanted due to the fact that someone crashed a car into our front entrance ramp last night.
We had wanted to take this last week to say goodbye to our beloved regulars, run some crazy specials and discounts to try and get through the supplies we have stored, and go out with a bang. But that has been taken from us. The ability to shut down Carr’s our way and announce it on our terms when we were ready, has been stripped from us.
Please know that this decision was not made lightly, and our family is devastated to have our time cut short like this. We feel like we were just getting into the groove of running this business, and we had big plans for the year to come. This closure is due to circumstances out of our control, and if we had the choice, we would stick around as long as the community would have us.
We love our location, our customers, and our staff. It pains us to have to say goodbye under these circumstances, and it is unfair that we never got to show the community what we were truly made of cause we didn’t get a fair chance.
But alas, it is what it is. Hard things happen, and sometimes there is nothing you can do about it. That is the way life works!
We are NOT gone forever. We plan to re-open in the future, though we don’t know when, and we don’t know where. This page will stay active with updates, but know that it could be a while before we make progress in that regard.
In the meantime, we will fall back to our store, Dan’s, where we will bring some of the goodness of Carr’s to continue selling there. We will take this time to repair, restore, and revitalize the store to make it better than it ever has been. Please follow our page for Dan’s, where we will be WAY more active, and come in to say hi to Dan, Amiee, & Olivia. Their faces will be around there much more frequently in the coming months.
Please allow us some time to grieve this loss, and gather our thoughts, as we truly did love our restaurant. Each of us sacrificed time with our families, money, relationships, and mental health for this business.
Lastly, thank you to all our customers who believed in us. To our regulars who showed up with a smile every week. To our staff members, new and old, who put their all into their jobs. To our vendors who helped us out and gave advice as we learned how to run a restaurant for the first time. To our haters, for making us stronger. And most importantly, to our families who also made sacrifices so we could follow this dream and make it a reality.
We hope to see you soon. Carr’s is not gone for good!
Love, the Carr’s Crew.
